Xiaomi 12i Hyper Charge 

We have the world's fastest charging smartphone! Redmi Note 12 Explorer Ed ition. One, this was launched in China. Total four phones were launched in the Note series. Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+, & Note 12 Explorer Edition Pro+ & Explorer Edition don't have much difference, only of charging & battery capacity. Now the question is, when it'll be launched in India, will it be the same phone & name? No. You know that it'll be rebranded. And whenever this phone will be launched, it'll be named, Xiaomi 12i, or 11i. No, it'll be like 12i Hyper Charge, something like that. Because this has 210W charging. 210W. 0% to 100% in 9 minutes. The charging sure is amazing, guys. But I till don't think this is the value-for-money smartphone. Like the Redmi Note Series in 2017-18. We all know the Note series of Redmi as value-for-money. This is maybe not like that. Why it's not? You'll know this at the end of the Blog. Read till the end for interesting things & everything. First, it's the documentation & case. I'll say the quality of the case is fine. Something is interesting. I'll tell you about it. Ah, this. This is the big thing. 210 Charger. 210W! I haven seen till 200W, not 210W. It is big! And an USB type-C to type-C cable. Let's look at the phone. When you take it in your hand. It feels good. Just like a premium

phone. When you take a 266$ phone in hand, it feels just like that. Shiny! Magnet! it's a fingerprint magnet.Yes, you'll have to put the case with it. Otherwise, when you hold it then within a second, you'll get this. 

Lets talk about design. 

If we talk about the design then it is a traditional design, not a modern one. If you see the phones of 3-4 back, in 2018-19, they looked like this. But it is glass-back, yes. Now, guys, I don't know about the protection but there is a screen guard. 

Lets talk about battery. 

This explorer edition has a 4300mAh battery. It is a little smaller, especially, these budget/mid-range phones should have 5000mAh at least. But it is 4300mAh. According to that, it doesn't seem very light. It's weight is 210g. It maybe because of the glass-back. I thought that since it has 4300mAh battery it might be lighter. No, it's 210g. It is on the heavier side. Everything is 210. Here, it is 210W, even the weight is 210g. The build quality is good. The frame is plastic. 

Lets talk about ports. 

Talking about the ports, there are speaker grills on the top as well as bottom. So, there are stereo speakers & a type-C port.There is a SIM card tray which is— it's Dual Nano SIM card slot, guys. Expandable is not there in it. 

Lets talk about storage. 

Talking about the variants, the base variant is 8GB RAM & 128GB storage. There is one more variant, it's 8GB RAM & 256GB storage. 

Lets talk about display. 

If I talk about the display, it's a good display. And if I talk about the overall Note series, all the phones now have AMOLED display, even the base Note 12. In this, you get AMOLED display, FHD & 120Hz fast refresh rate. On the matter of brightness, it is quite bright with 900 nits. Talking about the bezels, they're really thin. Sides, top & the chin, all are thin. So, screen-to-body ratio is very good. From the front, it definitely looks modern. By the way, the refresh rate switches to Auto as well. Whatever work you're doing, it'll become 30, 60, 90, 120Hz. During gaming it'll be 120Hz. 

Lets talk about specifications. 

There is one thing which is good as well as bad. The base variant has Qualcomm Snapdragon. Note 12 base variant is 4th Gen 1.But the rest of the variants, Pro, Pro+ & this, come on the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 5G processor. If I talk about the performance, I'll be honest, I was expecting more. If I have to benchmark, then I'll say this is better than Dimensity 920. But if I compare with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G, then it is a little less. Why? Because the AnTuTu score on paper comes out to be around 5 Lakh. The 778G has generally more than 5 Lakh. So, if I talk about the performance, I was expecting it to be more than 778G but that's not the case. That's why, guys, when you do gaming, you can play on medium-high settings. And the gameplay is good since the display is good with 120Hz refresh rate. The touch sampling rate is good, too. So, overall, the gaming is good but on medium-high settings, not on highest settings. One more thing, since this is the highest version, on top of Pro+, too. So, I thought the RAM type would be LPDDR5 but, no, it's LPDDR4X. The storage is of UFS 2.2. The battery is 4300mAh and a big 210W charger. The battery will go from 0% to100% in 9 minutes, claims Xiaomi. 

Lets talk about camera. 

The primary sensor is 200MP. Even the Pro+ had that, too. In fact, there are not many differences between Pro+ & Explorer Edition. All the specifications are same. The only differences are the battery capacity and charging. If I talk about the Pro, it has a 50MP camera. The base Note 12 has 48MP + 2MP camera. It has a primary sensor of 200MP, then 8MP ultrawide, & then 2MP. And on the front side, in the center, there is a 16MP punch-hole sensor in all the variants. I like the primary sensor camera of 200MP. In most conditions, it clicks good pictures. If we talk about videography, there is 4K 30fps. If they had given 60fps, that would be good. It's 200MP, it should have been 4K 60fps. But yes, there is 4K, that's good. And yes, if you see the camera, there are many filters, old-style filters. You can get a retro feel from them. 

Lets talk about OS. 

it is MIUI 13 based on Android 12. The Android 13 doesn't come automatically. When they launch here, in my opinion, you would get Android 12 out-the-box. Let me repeat this again, this is a Chinese phone. That might come as 'Note' in India and these phone will probably get launched by Xiaomi brand. By Xiaomi's name, like Xiaomi Hypercharge, Xiaomi 11i, Xiaomi 11 Lite, and such. 

Lets talk about connectivity.

Talking about connectivity, the good's thing is that there is Wi-Fi 6 & Bluetooth 5.2. It also supports NFC but when it'll come to, will it be present in Note series, And obviously, since it has Dimensity 1080 then 5G will surely be there. We'll know about the bands after it comes to India, this is a Chinese variant. 

Lets talk about multimedia. 

Generally, if you see the Note series, the multimedia is good. Display is very good, you'll enjoy the video-viewing experience. The display is really good, the colours will look good. And the quality of the stereo speakers is, I'll say, really good. It's above average. So, for multimedia, it's an absolutely great phone. And there are small features like Widevine, I won't talk about that. Because after coming to country, we'll see about the certification, that'll come in our video. 

Lets talk about price. 

so, it's 8GB RAM 128GB storage variant goes up to 315$. And like I said, the base variant of Note 12, starts around 145$. So, all the variants come in that range. But if you see earlier, the Note series was ranged in 133$-241$. But it has gone up the value chain. So, I'll say that some good & new features have come. But it also comes at a price. Yes, the price has gone up. Nowadays, peoples have started to buy pricey phones so the brands are bringing even more pricey phones.
